Deep Tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension in the deeper layers of the muscles and connective tissue. It focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles and is often recommended for individuals who experience constant pain. It is especially helpful in bringing relief to chronically tense and contracted conditions such as a stiff neck, shoulder pain, back pain or leg pain.

Our therapists use slow strokes and exert deep pressure using their fingers, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms along and across the fibers of the muscles and tendons to release the adhesions which are bands of painful dense rigid tissue. Breaking down the adhesions helps restore normal circulation alleviating the pain, and helps get rid of the toxins from the strained muscles allowing them to strengthen and heal. In addition to relief from your pain, an improved range of motion of the affected area is usually noticed immediately after a Deep Tissue massage.
