DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue Massage is used to release chronic muscle tension in the deeper layers of the muscles and connective tissue. It focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles and is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain. It is especially helpful in bringing relief to chronically tense and contracted conditions such as stiff necks, lower back tightness and sore shoulders.
Our therapist uses slow strokes and exerts deep pressure using her fingers, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms along or across the fibers of the muscles and tendons to release the adhesions (tensed knotted areas). This also increases circulation and helps get rid of the toxins from the strained muscles, helping them to strengthen and heal. An improved range of motion is often noticed immediately after a Deep Tissue massage.
